Organic Mangkok Brown Rice is grown without chemical fertiliser, pesticide and herbicide.
Mangkok is a naturally cultivated heritage variety of rice native to Bali. It has a natural resistance to pests and high tolerance for water shortages. Since Mangkok Rice is not a hybrid, farmers can save their seeds for the next planting season. As an added benefit, Mangkok Rice uses only 15% of the amount of water used to grow white rice, and with only a slightly longer growing season, it produces a 35-40% greater crop yield the first year, and up to 100% by the third year.
Mangkok is a brown variety of rice known to decrease the risk of diabetes.
